Because of this, you need to choose a template based on the situation that you are going to pitch in. You are often bound by a time limit when pitching. It is important to stay within the time limit, so you can get all your important points across. That’s why some of the templates give you the option of adjusting the time. Others do not. It all depends completely on the format of the actual pitch. At some events, such as Startup Weekend, there is a very strict time interval that you need to keep your pitch within, which is why the template is adjusted in accordance to that. If it’s possible in the chosen template then you should try adjusting the time so it reflects how much speaking time you actually have, so your pitch can be spot on!
Practice makes perfect
What the wise said is true. The good pitch needs to be practiced a ton of times and for good reasons. When you practice, you remember your pitch better and because of this you can present it flawlessly when you need to. Besides that, it also makes your message sharper.
